A Death Café, Reimagined: A Guided Conversation About Mortality, Meaning, and Legacy”

A Death Café, Reimagined: A Guided Conversation About Mortality, Meaning, and Legacy”

What if talking about death helped us live more intentionally?

Death Cafés have emerged worldwide as a unique way to foster meaningful conversations about mortality, grief, legacy, and life's transitions. This interactive session explores the Death Café model and its potential to create connection, reduce death anxiety, and encourage thoughtful engagement with end-of-life issues.

Participants will experience elements of a Death Café, examine lessons learned from community-based conversations, and explore how these gatherings can support wellness, wisdom, wonder, and connection in later life. This session aligns with AROHE's conference theme by inviting attendees to consider how conversations about mortality can deepen purpose, strengthen relationships, and enrich the retirement journey.
